Information for visitors to OPC’s office
Introduction
OPC has implemented some security precautions that may affect visitors to OPC’s office (including instructors and people just delivering things to the office).
Car parking for visitors
OPC has some parking spaces available for visitors. It is recommended that visitors indicate to OPC employees the number of parking spaces required at the time arrangements for a meeting are made.
Visitors who have not already arranged a car parking space with OPC will not be admitted to the car park.
If OPC’s car parking spaces are full or visitors have not arranged a car parking space, OPC will advise visitors to use the car parks located on Brisbane Avenue and behind MTA House.
Visitors to OPC
When meetings are arranged between OPC employees and instructors or other visitors, OPC employees will obtain information on the names and number of visitors and the organisations represented.
All visitors should proceed to the level 2 lobby where they need to call the relevant OPC employee, or one of the alternate contacts if the OPC employee does not answer their phone. There is a phone list adjacent to the phone to assist in contacting the relevant OPC employee.
The identification of instructors or other visitors must be verified before entry to OPC premises is allowed. Identity may be verified by one of the following methods:
- the visitor is known to the OPC employee signing him or her in;
- the visitor is vouched for by a person known to the OPC employee signing the visitors in (for example, one known instructor bringing a new instructor for the first time);
- an appropriate form of photographic identification is provided.
Where the identity of instructors or other visitors cannot be verified, they will not be admitted to OPC premises.
When a meeting with an instructor or other visitor has ended, an OPC employee will be required to:
- escort the visitor to the lift lobby; and
- sign out the visitor in the visitor logbook.
Deliveries to OPC
To reduce security risk, OPC will not accept unsolicited or unexpected deliveries.
OPC does not employ a receptionist and so all deliveries must be made to the relevant OPC employee. There is a phone and an OPC internal phone number listing in the level 2 lift lobby to assist you to contact the relevant OPC employee.
If you are planning to deliver something to OPC, you should contact the relevant OPC employee to arrange a suitable time for delivery.
If the OPC employee, or an alternate contact who is aware of the expected delivery, cannot be contacted, the delivery will not be accepted.
Any items left unattended in the lift lobby may be destroyed.
