Senior IT Officer (Executive Level 1)

The Office of Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated VBA programmer to join our small team providing IT support. In addition to providing the opportunity to use and improve your VBA skills, this position provides the opportunity to develop a wider range of IT skills.

OPC is recognised within drafting offices as a leader in Information Technology.

OPC is currently operating a computer network consisting of 50 Windows XP computers and 6 virtual Windows 2003 servers. The main software used is Microsoft Word which has been highly customised to provide a system to support the production of proposed legislation for Parliament. OPC also maintains a number of key databases used internally and externally to track legislation.

Selection will be based on written applications, and interviews may be conducted upon successful completion of a VBA programming exercise.
