The Collection

OPC Library is a small law library, staffed by a librarian. The collection contains 1500 texts, 120 serial titles, totalling about 4600 volumes. The strengths of the collection are legislation, constitutional law, legislative drafting, statutory interpretation, plain language, and the form and style of written communication.

The Library houses complete collections of Bound Commonwealth Bills and Explanatory Memoranda, Commonwealth Acts and Statutory Rules.

OPC also has a number of electronic research tools, which are gradually, but not completely, replacing paper copy.

The Library's management system is Athena.

Access

The Library is not open to the public except by appointment with the Librarian. Loans and enquiries should be organised through your local or agency library.
